Their multi genre approach fuses soul, rap and spoken word with folk, rock, pop, hip hop, and jazz but they’re less inclined to hide behind definitives preferring a natural approach to music production and song writing.

dadaSoul state that the spirit of Dadaism is to explore, subvert and, in so doing, enlighten the consciousness. “Music should take you on a journey. A journey that poses a multitude of questions. Some completely absurd others sound and reassuring. When all said and done, you draw your own conclusions because we all have and share a variety of experiences.”

Their music has been compared to the likes of Elbow and Tricky and certainly has something of the Massive Attack vibe about it. What you hear is fast syncopated rap. Spoken word phonemes spat over the top of pulsating rhythms. Soulful chorus anthems epitomising the splendour of blues and jazz riffs. dadaSoul is a laconic imaginative misfit.

Inspired by a wide range of influences we originate all our own tunes from the melody to the lyric and production. Simply for the love of music and the love of words and what those two things mean to people. Playful, soulful and versatile we make the songs that come into our head.
